Blake Lively, the 23-year-old American actress, has joked that she used cupcakes to 'sabotage' Ryan Reynolds' fitness regime as he got into shape for 'The Green Lantern'. Blake Lively stars in the forthcoming comic book movie, in which Reynolds plays the masked and muscular superhero.
Speaking to People Magazine, Lively said she offered her leading-man cupcakes in order to halt his work outs, saying, "It was just a way to sabotage Ryan. He was working out as much as he was, and I'm the girl. I'm supposed to look better". Lively, best known for her role on the teen drama 'Gossip Girl', plays the Green Lantern's love interest 'Carol Ferris' in the new movie set to hit cinemas on 17th June 2011. Speaking to OnTheRedCarpet.com, Reynolds joked that shooting the movie was "the weirdest experience ever", because his character's costume is half-virtual, adding, "Technically, I am not in that costume. The costume is a motion capture suit. So what it is, effectively, the suit comes out of the character".
Blake Lively hit the headlines last week after she threatened to take legal action against an individual who began circulating explicit images allegedly featuring the actress. Lively vehemently denied taking the snaps, but the 'hacker' responded by posting a series of new photographs.
