Blake Lively is like a "glistening disco ball".

The 'Gossip Girl' actress was recently named as the face of CHANEL's Mademoiselle handbag line, and the show's stylist Eric Daman can understand why The Fashion house chose her to front their new campaign, comparing her to late actress Grace Kelly, who later became Princess Grace of Monaco.

Eric said: "It's like a Princess Grace thing, but she's also an all-American beauty while still being understood and appreciated in Europe. I think Karl Lagerfeld is inspired with her because she's like a breath of fresh air.

"She's like a glistening disco ball, whenever you're around her she sparkles. She's a great teenage icon, you know she's not running around partying, she's never out, and she always has her panties on! She's a great role model - even her body, she has a shape you know she's not a size two or a tiny girl."

Eric also revealed that 23-year-old Blake was inundated with offers from different fashion houses, but accepted Chanel's campaign because she is such a big fan of their clothes and accessories.

He added to gossip website HollywoodLife: "You know, she was approached with a lot of other offers but I think she made a very wise choice."

"I'm not surprised about the news. You know, she grew up loving Chanel, she's a Muse to Karl. She's beautiful, she really has become this icon and I think it was a very smart choice."
