The Black Keys have been confirmed to perform at this year's MTV Movie Awards. The rock duo will perform their hit single 'Gold On The Ceiling' from their gold-certified album 'El Camino'.
The network has also confirmed that global music producer Martin Solveig will be the '2012 Mtv Movie Awards House DJ'. He is likely to use his trademark smash-ups to remix some of cinema's most iconic theme scores, such as Star Wars, Pulp Fiction and Jaws. This year's show will be hosted by British comedian and personality Russell Brand, and will air live from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California. It appears to be a two horse races for the major prizes at this year's ceremony, with the comedy hit 'Bridesmaids' going up against 'The Hunger Games' in most of the evening's categories.
The Black Keys have risen to become one of the most respected rock bands in the world, and their seventh studio album 'El Camino' debuted at No.2 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. In the past year, they've twice appeared on Saturday Night Live, as well as 'The Late Show with David Letterman' and 'The Colbert Report'.
