Hip-hop band Black Eyed Peas have entered the studio to re-record some of their upcoming tunes - for a new videogame's soundtrack.
The SHUT UP stars have exclusively re-worked songs from their new album Monkey Business for use in ELECTRONIC ARTS' (EA) eagerly-awaited game THE URBZ: SIMS IN THE CITY.
And rapper WILL.I.AM is delighted his band have been asked to contribute to one of his favourite games, and views their involvement in the new Sims release as a preview of the technological opportunities that lie ahead.
He says, "I'm a huge Sims fan and see the franchise developing into a lot more than just a game in the near future.
"As a huge gaming fan as well, I see this as a way to do something really unique with our upcoming album and provide another way for our fans to enjoy our music."
The game is due in autumn (04) on SONY PLAYSTATION 2, MICROSOFT XBOX and NINTENDO GameCube.25/08/2004 17:24
