Icelandic singer Bjork is set to be honoured for her music career at an awards ceremony in London in November (11).
The pop star will be the first recipient of the Outstanding Contribution to Music trophy at the inaugural Association of Independent Music's (Aim) Independent Music Awards.
Alison Wenham, chairman & Ceo of Aim, says, "It's very exciting to be awarding our very first Outstanding Contribution to Music honour to such an original talent as Bjork.
"Bjork has consistently demonstrated that operating within the independent music sector can reap commercial as well as critical rewards."
The ceremony will take place on 10 November (11).
