Rocker Billy Corgan warns his former Smashing Pumpkins bandmates they will have to accept he will be boss if they reform.

The DISARM star, who is hankering for a return to his Grammy Award-winning glory days, placed an advert in the CHICAGO TRIBUNE newspaper last month (21JUN05) asking D'ARCY WRETZKY, JAMES IHA and Jimmy Chamberlain to consider a reunion.

Corgan blames the collapse of his post-Pumpkins band Zwan on his inability to move on from his past success - but he warns his ex bandmates that he expects to call the shots if they do decide to turn back the clock on their careers.

He says, "Here's the difference. In the Pumpkins and Zwan I made all the key decisions but I always had to pretend it was democratic. Now I don't have to go along with the charade. In my bands, he who writes the songs runs the show."

Smashing Pumpkins split in 2000 - 12 years after Corgan founded the rockers in his native Chicago.
