Scottish funnyman Billy Connolly is planning a benefit stand-up gig in Australia to raise funds for the Queensland flood appeal.
Downpours devastated towns across the Aussie states of Queensland and Victoria last month (Jan11), leaving thousands without a home and at least 25 people are feared to have died.
The comedian/actor is touring Down Under until March (11), and has decided to add an extra date on 13 February (11) at Queensland's Brisbane Convention Centre with all proceeds from the gig going to help rebuild the state.
He says, "I like Australia, it's been very kind to me over the years. It's like a big friend of mine. It's a funny thing Australia, when you get into trouble, it's always huge trouble. Biblical proportions. So, I am just going to do what I normally do with the extra show, and the money instead of going to me will go to the fund."
