Actor/director Billy Bob Thornton has dismissed rumours indicating he's penning a new script featuring a character based on his ex-wife Angelina Jolie, insisting he would never expose intimate details of their relationship.
Recent reports suggested the Bad Santa star was due to shoot new movie And Then We Drove about the couple's early romance, but Thornton has set the record straight, revealing the project has nothing to do with Jolie.
He tells New York Magazine, "Believe me, if I were gonna write a movie about her, we certainly wouldn’t announce it until it was done. We haven’t even started on this movie yet! And the idea has nothing to do with the way I met her or anything to do with her.
"I would never make a movie about my best friend, either, or any other ex of mine, or something. That’s not my bag. I don’t mind exposing myself, but I'm certainly not gonna make a movie about someone else."
Thornton wed the Salt beauty in 2000 but they separated two years later. The actor is currently dating make-up artist Connie Angland and Jolie has since found love with Brad Pitt.
