Rapper 50 CENT is back on the top of the US album charts after selling 1.14 million copies of his new CD THE MASSACRE in just four days.
The sales mark the biggest debut of any title with a shortened release week.
The album was released last Thursday (03MAR05) - five days before its original street date to thwart internet pirates.
Ironically, 50 Cent held the previous Billboard chart record for an abbreviated first week with his first studio release, GET RICH OR DIE TRYIN'.
Jennifer Lopez also enjoys a healthy debut - her new album, REBIRTH, crashes into the charts at number two with a 261,000 sales week.
Meanwhile, former professional surfer Jack Johnson enjoys his biggest ever sales week with IN BETWEEN DREAMS, which debuts at number three on the new charts with 228,000 units sold.
And rocker Mars Volta earns its highest chart placing and best sales week by entering the charts at number four with new CD FRANCES THE MUTE.
It's also a great week for reformed metal group Judas Priest, who score their highest-charting album ever with ANGEL OF RETRIBUTION, which debuts at number 13.09/03/2005 21:20
