Veteran actor Bill Murray credits director Sofia Coppola with re-inventing his career when she cast him in her 2003 film Lost In Translation.

Murray was awarded a Golden Globe award for his part in the film, and proved he is capable of carrying off more serious roles as well as the comedy parts he found fame playing.

He says, "I really love Lost in Translation, Sofia Coppola's an excellent film-maker. She wrote a great story and made a lovely film.

"It was actually the beginning of a new phase for me: I knew I could do these kind of movies but I'd never been invited before."
