Barbara Bowman has just added her voice to the chorus of accusers Cosby faces.
Bill Cosby has fired back at the comedian, who roasted him during a standup a couple months back. And if you know anything about Bill Cosby – all tweens look away now – you’ll have guessed already that it was NOT pretty. Unfortunately for Cosby – and really, for anyone involved in this story at all – defending yourself against rape accusations is a bit different from defending yourself against a particularly harsh punchline.
Bill Cosby is in major PR trouble these days.
On Thursday, Cosby was hit with a rape accusation bMoy fellow comedian Barbara Bowman. The woman, who worked with Cosby back in the 70s, published an essay in the Washington Post, alleging that he assaulted her on numerous occasions. Bowman was 17 at the time and an aspiring actress, while Cosby was at the height of his TV career.
Now in her mid-40s, Bowman reveals a disturbing tale of abuse and manipulation.
“(He) brainwashed me into viewing him as a father figure, and then assaulted me multiple times,” she writes in her op-ed.
