A Thief Who Stole Comedian Bill Bailey's Tour Bus Has Been Sentenced To Two Years In Jail After Pleading Guilty To Burglary And Vehicle Theft.
Bailey's Mercedes Sprinter van was found days after thieves broke into the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall in England in October (15) and stole two laptops and the keys to the bus, which contained tour merchandise and luggage belonging to crew members.
In Liverpool Crown Court, Francis Whittaker pleaded guilty to the theft of the vehicle and merchandise, which was valued at $3,600 (£2,400) in October (15).
A number of personal items, including a laptop and personal suitcases, remain missing.

British Comedian Bill Bailey's Tour Bus Was Found Days After It Was Stolen, But A Number Of Personal Items Had Been Removed From The Vehicle.
Police began an investigation on 26 October (15) after thieves broke into the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall in England and stole two laptops and the keys to the bus, which contained tour merchandise and luggage belonging to crew members.
Bailey also launched a public appeal for help tracking down the vehicle, which was taken from outside the theatre, and on Thursday (04Nov15), he thanked fans for their help following its recovery.
"Tour bus found! Huge thanks to @MerseyPolice @LivEchonews UK press & good people of Liverpool," he tweeted.

Comedian Bill Bailey failed to see the funny side when his tour bus was stolen from outside the Liverpool Philharmonic just before he was about to perform a show. The comic’s manager confirmed that thieves had broken into the production room and taken car keys and two laptops.

British Comedian Bill Bailey Pressed On With His Stand-up Show In Liverpool, England On Monday Night (26oct15) Hours After One Of His Tour Buses Was Stolen From The Venue.
The funnyman's manager reveals two thieves broke into the production room at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall on Monday afternoon and stole the keys for the Mercedes Sprinter Splitter vehicle and swiped two laptops. They made off with the crew bus, which had been parked in the theatre car lot and had also contained tour merchandise and suitcases belonging to crew members, according to tour manager Neil Adams.
Local police have since launched an investigation into the incident, but have yet to make any arrests.
Bailey refused to let the mishap disrupt his show plans, despite the "chaos" the incident caused, and only broke the news to fans in a Twitter.com message on Tuesday (27Oct15).

The German metal group beat off competition from Iron Maiden, Metallica, Skindred and Watain to take home the accolade, while Saxon won Best British Band and US outfit Lamb of God were awarded with the Best International Band prize on the ceremony's 10th anniversary.
Maiden were presented with the Best Event gong for their 'Iron Maiden Conquer the UK (Again)' tour and veteran metal groups Fear Factory and Anthrax won the Icons and Metal as F**k accolades respectively.

The actor and his 'Chalet Girl' co-stars were left bemused as to how to move to another drinking establishment in St. Anton - the Austrian ski resort where the film was shot - but came up with a novel way on how to tackle the slopes.
Tamsin Eggerton, who also appears in the movie, explained: "We went to the Krazy Kangaroo bar and we had a few Jaegermeisters too many and we didn't know how to get down the slope to the next bar. So Ed just got on his back and 'skied' all the way down and everyone was like, 'Ooh!' and then the other guys said, 'That's really cool, I want to do that.'
