Big Time Rush singer Kendall Schmidt suffered another in-flight setback when his guitar was damaged in transit over the weekend (16-17Aug14).

The pop star filed a complaint against an airline last year (13) after $7,000 (£4,118) worth of jewellery went missing from his luggage, and he suffered more trouble last weekend when his custom-made instrument was damaged during a flight.

The singer flew to Sacramento, California on Sunday (17Aug14) and his guitar, worth $4,000 (£2,352), was returned with a large dent in the side.

Schimdt shared a picture of the broken wood on, writing, "Dear @AmericanAir, love your airline... but damaging my beautiful guitar does not make me happy."

Bosses of the airline are now working to resolve the matter with the singer, who later added, "I have to commend @AmericanAir for their concern with the guitar... We've connected & are resolving the problem soon."
