While speaking about their messy breakup, the 26-year-old rapper adamantly denies stealing his former fiance's Rolex.
Big Sean didn't steal anything! The 26-year-old rap star has kept fairly quiet about his split from ex-fiancé Naya Rivera until recently when he felt obliged to address some claims the 'Glee' actress made following their breakup.
Big Sean And Naya Rivera called off their engagement in April 2014
While being interviewed by the February 2015 issue of Complex magazine, Big Sean finally set the record straight about a Rolex that Rivera said he stole from her home when they initially separated last April.
"First of all, why would I have to steal a Rolex? Second of all, every Rolex that I have, I have receipts for, papers for, certificates of authenticity for. I would never steal a Rolex from anybody. You see [Naya's] tweet got deleted in like 20 seconds," the Detroit rapper, who covers the magazine, said.
On April 9th, Rivera took to Twitter and posted the since-deleted tweet, "@bigsean stealing rolexes from a lady's house now. Maybe cuz I'm on Glee and making more money or something. #triflin."
"I felt like it was unnecessary drama because in my eyes it wasn't true," the recording artist continued. "I wasn't surprised by it. Even though I didn't steal anything, I wasn't surprised by it."
During the time of the duo's split, it was revealed via a statement that Big Sean was the one who called off their engagement. "After careful thought and much consideration, Sean has made the difficult decision to call the wedding off," his rep said. "The recent rumors and accusations reported by so called or fake sources are simply untrue. Sean wishes Naya nothing but the best and it is still his hope that they can continue to work through their issues privately. We will not be commenting again on this matter."
Following their messy breakup, Big Sean released the hit track 'I Don't F**k With You,' which many believe is about Rivera as he references a "crazy ass b**ch" in the lyrics.
