The former lover of ex-England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson has reportedly checked into the Priory to be treated for depression.
Faria Alam is apparently suffering from "deep depression" after the News of the World claimed to have unmasked her as a high-class prostitute.
The Sunday tabloid filmed the 40-year-old allegedly discussing "party tricks" and her £8,000 fee for three-hour sex sessions.
Now sister paper the Sun says that "devastated" Alam, who left her job as a Football Association PA in 2005 after high-profile affairs with then England manager Eriksson and chief executive Mark Palios, has turned to the celeb clinic in Roehampton, south-west London.
"To say Faria is devastated is a huge understatement. Her life after Sven has been all about her image. She thinks no-one will touch her with a barge pole now," a source told the tabloid.
The source added that the former Celebrity Big Brother contestant had "blown" any chance of a career in the public eye.
Alam has already dubbed the News of the World's claims as "nonsense".
