Beyonce has finally revealed the dress she wore to her 2008 wedding to husband Jay Z. The couple's ceremony was arguably the most closely guarded celebrity nuptials in history, with zero photographs emerging and very few details.
However, the superstar singer has decided to time is right to share some of the intimate details of the day and reveals the dress in her video for anthem 'I Was Here'. The personal footage includes her early showbiz days, rise to fame with girl group Destiny's Child and finally her romance with Jay Z. In one blink-and-you'll-miss-it section of the video, a clearly overjoyed Beyonce is seen trying on her strapless wedding dress, thought to be designed by Vivienne Westwood and featuring a large ruffled train. As mentioned, next to nothing is known of the couple's 2008 wedding, although People magazine reported the pair threw a lavish reception at the rapper's Tribeca penthouse apartment with guests including Kelly Rowland, Gwyneth Paltrow and Beyonce's sister Solange, mother Tina and father Mathew. The couple first got together in 2002 after collaborating with each other several times.
Earlier this year, the Huffington Post confirmed Beyonce was 5 months pregnant with her and Jay Z's first child - the news reportedly broke the record for the "most tweets per second recorded for a single event", with 8,868 per second.
