Peak District born singer Beulah has unleashed the seductive new video for her track 'Seriously', taken from her recently released self-titled album. The record is her second offering following 2005's debut 'Mabel and I'.
In the video, an underwear clad Beulah is sat in a rotating leather armchair while singing her song. On its second rotation, we see that she is now in some sort of sexy circus ringleader style get-up complete with top hat, cane and fishnet stockings. It's a risqué video but empowering when applied alongside the self-assured and confident lyrics about knowing that you're too good for wayward lovers. It's a country-tinged pop tune that is subtly uplifting despite the mellow guitar riffs and slow rhythm.
Beulah has previously toured with the likes of Ronan Keating and made many TV appearances, while receiving high praise from Terry Wogan and Michael Parkinson. The singer - who also co-produced her new album - describes her latest work as about 'love AND revenge'. 'There are a lot of questions in there too regarding faith in all ways... in God, in yourself, in your place on this earth', she explained. 'Doors smash in your face. They always will. Doesn't mean you can't knock again...'
