Legendary entertainer Bette Midler was shocked when she arrived in Las Vegas to begin her new show - because she found the casinos filled with young children.
The 62-year-old star debuted her Vegas show Bette Midler: The Showgirl Must Go On earlier this year (Feb08) at the city's renowned Caesar's Palace venue.
And she admits when she arrived to begin her two-year stint, she was unnerved at the sight of so many children in the notoriously sinful city.
She says, "The scariest people of all in Las Vegas are the ones with the strollers. Oh my god, they are so scary. Gambling, prostitution, booze - let's take the kids! It is so terrifying."
Midler muses, "You've got your craps table, you've got your black jack table, you've got your changing table. The best part, you know they have that motto, 'What Happens in Vagas Stays in Vegas,' I don't think they meant dirty diapers."
