British actor HENRY McGEE has died after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. He was 77.

The star was most famed his 20-year stint as comedian Benny Hill's TV stooge, but also had roles in classic movies including original versions of The Italian Job and The Pink Panther.

McGee was a well-loved stage actor, starring alongside Dick Emery, Eric Skyes, Tommy Cooper and Rod Hull.
