The series producers have teased that a future season could see the introduction of Harley Quinn.
Fox’s ‘Gotham’ has already introduced us to The Penguin, Catwoman and Poison Ivy, but there’s two prominent villains who haven't yet showed up on the Batman origin series, Harley Quinn and The Joker. While The Joker has long been teased and speculated upon, since the release of Suicide Squad fans have been left wondering wether his accomplice Harley Quinn will ever make an appearance.

Speaking at the Television Critics Association's summer press tour, executive producer John Stephens teased her possible introduction. “Perhaps not this season but in times to come,” he said. “A lot of those [DC Comics] characters, because they're in Suicide Squad, you're not going to be seeing them this season.

Paul Reubens has been cast as Penguin’s father in an upcoming episode of ‘Gotham’s’ second season. The 63 year old, who is best known for his character Pee-wee Herman, will have a recurring role in the new season, which began airing last month on Fox.

The news was revealed during the show’s New York Comic Con panel on Sunday afternoon, by actor Robin Lord Taylor who plays Penguin (a.k.a. Oswald Cobblepot on the series). An excited Taylor told the audience, “So we’re all familiar with Oswald’s mother, the fabulous, fabulous Carol Kane.”

Fox has renewed 'Empire', 'Gotham' and 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' for further seasons.
Fox has ordered a second season of Empire after airing just two episodes. Comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine and superhero drama Gotham have also been renewed. Fox announced the renewals on Saturday (17th January) at the Television Critics Association press tour in California.

Streaming service Netflix has pulled off a major coup by landing the rights to 'Gotham' - the Batman prequel series yet to air its first season on Fox. In a deal between Netflix and Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Distribution, the streaming service will get exclusive on demand rights for the highly anticipated series, from fall 2015.

Channel 5 has acquired the right to broadcast the forthcoming drama series ‘Gotham’ in the UK.Billed as a prequel to story of Batman, the series will begin screening in the US on September 22nd, although no definite date has been confirmed for transmission in the UK as yet.

Another iconic DC character has been confirmed to appear on Fox’s upcoming Gotham. Several Batman villains were announced and cast several months ago like Catwoman (Camren Bicondova) and the Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor). The trailer also gave fans a glimpse at another classic villain – Edward Nigma, aka The Riddler, played by Cory Michael Smith.

Annie Parker is a fun-loving young woman struggling with the difficulties of motherhood, a husband who's slowly losing interest and, more importantly, breast cancer. Meanwhile, a young research geneticist named Mary-Claire King is looking into a breakthrough theory that suggests that some women are genetically pre-disposed to have breast cancer due to a particular gene. Unfortunately for her, there are few scientists who believe her theory. In order to prove her theory, she must conduct a research project looking into cancer sufferers' and their relatives' medical history - and that's where Annie Parker is eager to help.
