The break-out star of hit new British TV drama SHERLOCK is set for another classic literary adaptation - Benedict Cumberbatch will star in director Danny Boyle's take on Frankenstein.
The actor, who plays a modern day Sherlock Holmes on TV, will portray the mad scientist in 2011 when Slumdog Millionaire director Boyle tackles Mary Shelley's monster story onstage.
Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller will alternate roles as Victor Frankenstein and his monster in the production at London's National Theatre.
