British acting legend SIR Ben Kingsley is certain English actors make the best movie villains - because they don't need the audience to love them.

The SCHINDLER'S LIST star, who is about to shock cinema-goers as bad guy THE HOOD in the Thunderbirds movie, insists he has no qualms about ditching his nice guy persona to play dirty.

And Sir Ben says other British actors feel the same way - and that's why so many Hollywood villains are imported from the UK.

He explains, "It is because we're fearless about playing baddies.

"In our hearts we don't care whether the audience loves us or hates us."
