Rose McGowan's Twitter Account Suspended After Ben Affleck Accusations

Rose McGowan Ben Affleck Harvey Weinstein

Rose McGowan has had her Twitter account temporarily suspended, a matter of hours after calling out Ben Affleck over his level of knowledge about the disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein and his history of sexual misconduct.

44 year old McGowan, a former star of TV series ‘Charmed’, has been one of the most vocal critics of Weinstein and the surrounding Hollywood scandal since the New York Times first broke the story last week. She’s been using Twitter to express solidarity with women who have come forward, and has attacked those she regards as having been complicit in the cover-up of the allegations that span back decades.

Earlier on Wednesday (October 11th), she had tweeted “F*** off” to Affleck and accused him of lying about his level of knowledge about Weinstein’s mis-deeds.

Justice League Trailer

The planet is in turmoil. Superman is apparently dead and crime rates have surged around the world as a result. But there's more than just petty theft and random assaults out there; mankind are under threat from an alien general named Steppenwolf who, with his terrible army of Parademons, are causing devastation as they search far and wide for three mysterious Mother Boxes hidden on Earth. The people need help, and so Bruce Wayne brings back Gotham's hero - Batman - and enlists the assistance of Wonder Woman to form a new legion of heroes. They, along with Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash, must protect the world from total destruction at the hands of Steppenwolf and, ultimately, his boss Darkseid. They're all very different heroes, with very different ideas about fighting villains, but there's one thing they all have in common - a desire for justice.

'Justice League' Will See Batman Portrayed In A More "Traditional" Way, Says Ben Affleck

Ben Affleck

Amid criticism of his role and growing speculation of his continued involvement with the franchise, Ben Affleck has assured DC fans that his next portrayal of Batman in Justice League will be “more traditional”.

Justice League, released this November, will represent the third time that 44 year old Affleck has played the Caped Crusader on the big screen, following his central performance in Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice in early 2016 – which received lukewarm reviews – and the most fleeting of cameo appearances in Suicide Squad later that year.

“He’s put in this position of having to reach out, find other people, convincing them to do something,” Affleck explained to Entertainment Weekly in an interview published on Wednesday (August 16th). “Part of the drama of the movie is the question of whether or not the team is going to come together. It’s very different from the tenor of the last movie.”

Ben Affleck Reaffirms His Love For Batman

Ben Affleck

This week, there has been a lot of talk about Ben Affleck and his role in the DC Extended Universe as the Caped Crusader and World's Greatest Detective, Batman. We saw the actor debut in the role in 'Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice' and whilst he was pegged as one of the best parts of the film and the DCEU in general, rumours continued to swirl about his future.

Clearing up recent rumours that he would be exiting the DCEU at the nearest opportunity, following news that he would no longer be involved in the production of the upcoming solo Batman flick, Affleck told Entertainment Weekly: "Trying to do that, and direct, would probably be too much. Something would be compromised. I think it came off, optically, to the broader world, like lack of interest or enthusiasm. When in fact I love this character. I think getting Matt Reeves to come in and do it is really, really exciting. Matt hasn’t really unveiled his full vision yet. He wanted to wait until 'Apes' came out, and he was obviously consumed with that. So I’m looking forward to hearing what his story is."

Matt Reeves Confirms The Batman Is Starting From Scratch

Matt Reeves Ben Affleck Warner Brothers

The DC Extended Universe has been in a state of limbo since Ben Affleck shocked the masses by walking away from the director's chair for The Batman, though things seem to be getting themselves back on track. Matt Reeves stepped in as director, and with his latest feature-length 'War For The Planet Of The Apes' being over and done with, it means he can now move onto pastures new.

Matt Reeves Attends the War For The Planet of the Apes Premiere

Reeves has been evasive on just what he has planned for The Batman, but in a recent MTV interview, he explained he planned on moving away from the script that Geoff Johns and Affleck had previously planned, saying: "It's a new story. It's just starting again. I'm excited about it. I think it's going to be really cool."

Jennifer Garner Ben Affleck

There’s been many headlines about Ben Affleck moving on after his divorce and being spotted with rumoured new girlfriend Lindsay Shookus – but what about his ex-wife Jennifer Garner?

A new report by People citing multiple but varying sources suggests that Garner is staying in “mama-bear mode” for the sake of her three children whom she shares with Ben, but she isn’t particularly happy that he’s romantically involved with somebody from his past.

“It’s not an easy situation for Jen,” a source close to the situation revealed. The 45 year old expected Ben to start dating soon after they announced their official split and divorce back in April this year, as he “just can’t be alone”.

Ben Affleck Gal Gadot Jason Momoa Zack Snyder

The first major trailer for 'Justice League' has finally dropped and it tells us a lot about what to expect in the forthcoming DC movie. Following directly on from 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice', we meet the majority of the team and the dangers they're set to face.

[L-R] The Flash, Superman, Cyborg, Wonder Woman, Batman and Aquaman make up the Justice League[L-R] The Flash, Superman, Cyborg, Wonder Woman, Batman and Aquaman make up the Justice League

We see Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) having taken a long journey somewhere, most likely to track down Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa) in an isolated fishing village. Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) is the first to unite with Bruce as he gathers the Justice League, both spurred by the brave sacrifice of their friend Clark Kent (Henry Cavill). Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) is a little shocked to be recruited, especially while he's got his own problems to deal with such as his father Henry Allen (Billy Crudup) being in prison.

Sienna Miller Recalls Filming An Entire Day Of Sex Scenes With Ben Affleck

Sienna Miller Ben Affleck

Any movie star will tell you that the most awkward and potentially embarrassing aspect of their job is filming sex scenes.

Trying to remain cool and professional in a cramped room, half-naked with your colleagues and in front of dozens of crew members, cameras and lights… enough to make even the steeliest of nerves falter.

However, Sienna Miller reckons there’s one way to cure this – if both actors approach it with a sense of humour. She was cast opposite Ben Affleck in Live By Night, playing the Irish moll Emma Gould to Affleck’s gangster Joe Coughlin, and spoke at the red carpet premiere about having to film sex scenes for a whole DAY.

What Does 'Live By Night' Actually Mean? Ben Affleck Explains...

Ben Affleck

Ben Affleck's latest directorial venture is a gangster thriller based on the 2012 novel 'Live By Night' by Dennis Lehane. It's all about a man who decides that he isn't going to live by anyone else's rules anymore and decides to take on a mob boss with the help of the latter's girlfriend.

Live By NightBen Affleck directs and stars in 'Live By Night'

'Joe Coughlin starts off as a guy who goes to the First World War as a believer [but] he becomes very disillusioned after that war, it was purposeless really', Ben explained. '[He] decides he's not going to take orders from anybody and he's going to become an outlaw. So he takes up a life as an outlaw and lives that way, living by night, for a period of time.'

Zoe Saldana Thinks 'Live By Night' Is Her Best Performance Since 'Avatar'

Zoe Saldana Ben Affleck

Zoe Saldana has opened up about her experiences working with Ben Affleck on his latest directorial venture 'Live By Night'; a gangster thriller in which he also stars set in the 1920s; and it's the best performance she reckons she's given in years.

Live By NightZoe Saldana stars alongside Ben Affleck in 'Live By Night'

According to Zoe Saldana, not all directors enjoy the process of working with actors. It might sound crazy, but this can really affect how an actor performs on set. Zoe didn't have to worry about that though because Ben Affleck was super understanding - given that he's an actor first.

The Accountant Review

OK

While this slick dramatic thriller plays with some intriguing ideas and themes, it never actually breaks the surface, relying on silly plotting and simplistic moralising. It also uses autism as little more than a plot point. Still, it's sharply shot and edited to create plenty of interest, with comical asides and some intense action. So it's entertaining even if it's both preposterous and shallow.

It centres on Christian (Ben Affleck), a mild-mannered autistic accountant with a big secret: he's not only cooking the books for top gangsters around the world, but he's also an efficient killer. In his day job, he's hired by Lamar (John Lithgow) and his sister Rita (Smart) to locate an anomaly in their robotics company's books. Working with company accountant Dana (Anna Kendrick), Christian crunches the numbers and finds more than anyone expected. Meanwhile, Federal Agent Ray (J.K. Simmons) wants catch this mythical mob accountant-killer before he retires, so he coerces analyst Marybeth (Cynthia Addai-Robinson) into tracking him down. But just as they close in on Christian, so does hyperactive hitman Brax (Jon Bernthal).

The script by Bill Dubuque (The Judge) never even remotely holds water. Christian's autism provides some intriguing flashbacks, which build throughout the movie to a climactic moment, as his militaristic father cruelly treats his condition by sending him to Karate Kid-style training in Indonesia with his silently annoyed little brother. Where a real autistic child would revert into the horror of all of that, Christian emerges as adeptly skilled at engaging with everyone he meets and also able to fight more efficiently than experienced military commandos, whom he kills by the dozen as Brax and his army surround him. No, it makes absolutely no sense, but as a movie it's a rather amusing waste of time.

Drunk Or Furious? Ben Affleck In Red-Faced Rant About 'Deflategate'

Ben Affleck

Ben Affleck is officially not someone we ever want to argue with, especially when it comes to American football. The 'Batman v Superman' star launched a slurred, expletive-laden, unsmiling rant about Deflategate in an appearance on the HBO talk show 'Any Given Wednesday with Bill Simmons' yesterday (June 22nd 2016) that was so bizarre, it left viewers worrying about his mental health.

Ben AffleckBen Affleck really has a problem with deflategate

We've all done it; found that one issue that really grinds our gears and somehow managed to complain about it at the tops of our lungs for a solid ten minutes to a usually disinterested party, and Ben Affleck has proved he's just like the rest of us when it comes to matters he's passionate about.
