Actress/singer Bella Thorne felt a sense of "betrayal" when her Disney show Shake It Up was abruptly cancelled last year (13), because she learned she was out of a job by reading the news online.
The 17 year old starred alongside Zendaya Coleman on the dance-centred sitcom for three years, but when network bosses decided to end the show after its third season, they didn't even bother to call.
Thorne tells Latina magazine, "We read about it in the trades. Nobody from the network told us. It did feel like a betrayal. The show was my home for three years, and the cast and crew were my family."
