THE Beatles legend Ringo Starr will celebrate his 70th birthday this summer (10) by performing live onstage.
The drummer will hit the landmark age in July (10), but he's refusing to hold a big bash because he'll be too busy performing across the U.S. with his group the All Starr Band.
Starr has decided to play Radio City Music Hall in New York on his big day - because playing music to his fans is what he "loves the most", according to Britain's Daily Express.
A source tells the publication, "Ringo's decided to go on tour as he felt it was fitting he should be doing what he loves the most on the big day, which is performing. He's not holding a big lavish birthday party. It's not his style these days. For him, still being able to perform on stage for his fans after all these years is reward enough."
