The recording studio pioneer, credited with shaping the Fab Four's sound, will take home the Outstanding Contribution to U.K. Music trophy at a prizegiving in London on 7 February (13).
Nominees for the evening's top honour - the U.K. Producer of the Year title - are rocker Damon Albarn; Paul Epworth, producer of Adele's hit album 21; and Jake Gosling, who has worked with One Direction and Ed Sheeran.
Danger Mouse, Jack White and Max Martin are up for International Producer of the Year, while the Remixer of the Year category is a race between The xx's Jamie Smith, Unkle and Matthew Herbert.
The 2012 Mercury Prize winners Alt-J will do battle against Sheeran, Florence + the MAChine and Paloma Faith for the U.K. Album of the Year title.
