The Beatles legend Ringo Starr and Eurythmics rocker Dave Stewart have signed up for a big screen musical.
The film will tell the coming-of-age story of kids who form a band in a depressed mining town, reports Deadline.com.
Starr and Stewart came up with the idea for Hole in the Fence, and will also pen the soundtrack.
The former Beatles drummer stated earlier this year (12) he was working on a musical to open on Broadway, but hinted it could be made into a movie first.
He told Mojo magazine, "Me and Dave wrote a musical, a complete thing - characters, story, a lot of songs. We wrote it for Broadway, but it will more likely end up (as) a movie..."
