Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney will play the first ever concert at the New York Mets' new baseball stadium this summer (09) - exactly a year after he brought the bulldozers down on their last home.
The rocker is in talks to headline three shows at Citi Field next month (Jul09).
Last summer (08), MCCartney joined New York legend Billy Joel for his series of gigs at the Mets' Shea Stadium, which has since been demolished.
The superstar has a special connection with the team and their stadiums - The Beatles famously played the first ever concert at Shea Stadium in Queens, New York back in 1965.
