The Beastie Boys have shot back into the U.S. album charts following the death of rapper Adam Yauch last Friday (04May12).
Sales of the band's back catalogue have surged since Yauch, known as Mca, lost his three-year battle with cancer and fans flocked to buy his music.
Seven of the group's albums have re-entered the Billboard 200 chart, with their 1988 debut Licensed To Ill coming in at number 18 and their compilation Solid Gold Hits landing at 51.
In the two days after Yauch's passing, an estimated 55,000 Beastie Boys albums were sold, according to Billboard.com.
The figure is expected to increase after SoundScan data is tallied for the official Billboard chart release on Sunday (13May12).
