Singer Mark Foster was so starstruck during his first rehearsal with The Beach Boys for their Grammy Awards performance, he forgot the lyrics to the song they were performing.
The star's group Foster The People joined the veteran band onstage to perform their '60s classic Wouldn't It Be Nice at the annual ceremony in February (12), but their preparation was far from smooth.
Foster tells Britain's Metro newspaper, "I was (starstruck). It really hit me in our first rehearsal together. They were the first concert I went to when I was seven.
"To play one of their songs with them listening in the room was a challenge - I forgot half the first verse. I had the lyrics memorised but I was freaking out. I was like: 'S**t, man - it's the Beach Boys.'"
