Blues legend Bb King will be celebrating his 80th birthday in September (05) with friends - in song.

The guitarist is recording a duets album with famous pals Van Morrison, U2, Sting and Elton John and plans to release the album to coincide with his Octogenarian celebrations.

There will also be a series of benefits for King in his home town of Indianola, Mississippi, around the landmark birthday to benefit local charities.

Also coinciding with his 80th, the sequel to King's 1996 autobiography BLUES ALL AROUND ME will be released. The new tome will be called BB KING'S TREASURES.
