Baz Luhrmann's film version of ALEXANDER THE GREAT will be going ahead, contrary to reports in Britain.
HEAT magazine reported last week (begs1DEC03) that the project was called of, allegedly because of problems attracting foreign investment in the wake of Oliver Stone's rival project, starring Colin Farrell.
However, producer Dino De Laurentiis tells the NEW YORK DAILY NEWS, "It's absolutely not true. Baz Luhrmann is finalizing the script."
He adds that filming will begin in 2005, with Nicole Kidman and LEONARDO DiCAPRIO to star.09/12/2003 17:11
