All of those megabudget movies that debuted in theaters in the summer are now beginning to arrive on DVD. Warner Bros.' The Great Gatsby, directed by Baz Luhrmann and starring Leonardo DiCaprio, zoomed to the top of the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert sales chart in its first day. Bona fide sales and rental figures are not disclosed. Paramount's Pain & Gain, starring Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne Johnson and Ed Harris, entered the list for the first time in second place. It took first place on Home Media magazine's rental chart. (Gatsby won't appear on the rental charts until next month since Warner Bros. insists on a four-week window between the time its movies go on sale until the time they become available for rent on Netflix and Redbox.) Actual DVD and Blu-ray sales and rental figures are not disclosed.
