The official trailer for Batman 'The Dark Knight Rises', the hugely anticipated new Batman movie, has leaked online. The trailer was expected to premiere immediately before screenings of 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2' on Friday (15th July 2011), but a "devious movie fan" with a "handheld camera" has leaked the clip online, according to the Huffington Post.
The trailer opens with Commissioner Gordon, played by Gary Oldman, on a hospital bed pleading for Batman's help. The Commissioner appears to be in great pain and is breathing through an oxygen mask. As a camera then pans up some New York skyscrapers, the message, "Every Hero Has A Journey" appears on-screen followed by the voiceover, "If you make yourself more than just a man. If you devout yourself to be ideal. And you become something else entirely. A legend Mr. Wayne". After a number of sweeping shots of Gotham City, a split-second image of Tom Hardy's 'Bane' flashes on-screen before the camera cuts back to Commissioner Gordon. The trailer concludes with a stand-off between Batman and Bane, before 'The Dark Knight Rises' appears followed by 'The Epic Conclusion'.
The movie, scheduled for release on 20th July 2012, features Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Tom Hardy and Gary Oldman. New additions to the cast include Joseph Gordon-Levitt and MARION COTILLARD.
