Do Your Thing
Basement Jaxx have barely paused for breath since the release of their number one, double-platinum "Singles" album. The success of Basement Jaxx – The Singles is both a timely reminder of just how much the Jaxx have turned dance music inside out and the nonchalant ease with which they continue to drop new ever more exciting sub-cultural car crashes on airwaves and dancefloors around the world.
Fresh from wowing audiences from Glastonbury to The Hollywood Bowl with their technicolour carnival of a live show, the final onslaught from the creative titans of punked-out-electronic-pop comes in the form of the release of the hyper-Jaxx scat 'Do Your Thing' on the 26th of September. Most likely this record is already imbedded in the nation's mind and in fact many may think it has already been one of the numerous crackin' Jaxx singles. But it hasn't (despite it being on the erm, Singles album). So here it is. A joyous slab of joi de vivre that will bellow out from the bars of Faliraki to the terrace at Space in Ibiza.
The Single comes with two mixes from the Jaxx themselves plus one from Miami based big-room house specialist Robbie Rivera, one from Seiji of Bugz In The Attic and one bouncy acid workout from sometime Subliminal artist Gadjo.
