Mega Piranha Review

Bad
You'd think that producer Latt might play on the camp success of his previous nutty thriller Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus for this no-budget romp. But no.

This movie is even more po-faced, with even less coherent action and more appalling effects. Is that even possible?

It turns out that scientist Sarah Monroe (Tiffany) has been experimenting with piranhas on the Orinoco River in Venezuela, and now they're growing exponentially, from the size of a cookie to the size of a Buick in just a few days. Fortunately, they're heading for the Caribbean, and they won't be able to survive in salt water. Or so the biologists think. Assigned to help her stop the potential chaos is over-muscled American action-spy Jason Fitch (Logan), who is being manipulated by his panicky boss (Williams) back home.

Brady Bunch's Williams Wins Restraining Order Against Ex

Brady Bunch Barry Williams

Former Brady Bunch actor Barry Williams has been granted a restraining order against his ex-girlfriend after she allegedly threatened to kill him.

The star, who played Greg Brady on the hit 1970s show, claims Elizabeth Kennedy made threats against his life and her own in August (09) after losing a beauty contest.

In legal documents obtained by TMZ.com, Williams describes how Kennedy also accused him of having an affair with a co-star in November (09) before attempting to grab a knife and attack him.

The 55 year old managed to avoid injury by overpowering his lover, but admits in the court papers, "Elizabeth is mentally unstable and has made threats to kill herself in the past and to harm me when she becomes depressed.

Mccormick Thankful Williams Didn't Take Virginity

Maureen McCormick Brady Bunch Barry Williams

Former child actress Maureen McCormick is thankful she didn't lose her virginity to Brady Bunch co-star Barry Williams - because she's convinced the tryst with her on-screen brother would have sent her spiralling into a deeper depression.

MCCormick speaks candidly about her long-running battle with drugs and depression in her forthcoming book Here's the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice.

And the actress is adamant her condition would have worsened if Williams had succeeded in bedding her.

Recalling the encounter, she says, "We were swimming in the pool. We were in our bathing suits, hot and heavy... we got very close and his parents, thank God, came in the room. Thank God because he was my (screen) brother, right? I would've been really messed up."

Barry Williams Honoured By U.s. Air Force

Brady Bunch Barry Williams

Brady Bunch star Barry Williams has been appointed an honourary member of the American Air Force in recognition of his continued support of the military.
The 53-year old almost followed his father into a career in the armed forces, before finding fame as the eldest of three brothers in the famed American TV show.
Williams was awarded a place in the Fourth Fighter Wing's 335th Fighter Squadron on Friday (12Oct07) and was given a ride in one of their jets.
He says, "It was the most exciting experience of my life. It was a great honour. For me, that was a joy ride. For them, that is their office. And when they go up, they are not playing.
"Appreciation is one word that comes to mind. Gratitude is another. It was just great."
After the ceremony, Williams posed for pictures with airmen, their spouses and children, and thanked them for their service.

Knight And Curry Tie The Knot

Christopher Knight Adrianne Curry Brady Bunch The Surreal Life Barry Williams Susan Olsen

LATEST: Reality TV stars Christopher Knight and Adrianne Curry were married on Monday (29MAY06) evening in the bride's hometown of Joliet, Illinois. The couple exchanged vows in front of 250 friends and family during a traditional ceremony at the Christ Episcopal Church. Curry wore a custom-made cream coloured Alvina Valenta gown and carried a bouquet of black roses. Her seven bridesmaids wore red evening dresses, while Knight and the groomsmen wore matching tuxedos. Knight, who starred as PETER BRADY on the 1970s hit THE Brady Bunch, met Curry, who won the first season of AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL, when they filmed VH1's The Surreal Life in 2004. Among the guests at the wedding were former Brady Bunch co-stars, Barry Williams, Susan Olsen and MIKE LOOKINLAND, as well as their Surreal Life co-star JOANNIE LAURER. Last year (05), VH1 chronicled the couple's courtship on the reality show, MY FAIR BRADY. Their wedding has been documented for another VH1 show, MY FAIR BRADY WEDDING SPECIAL, which will air in July (06). The couple fooled the press into thinking they were marrying on Saturday (27MAY06).

Sexy reality TV couple Christopher Knight and Adrianne Curry will wed on Saturday (27MAY06) in the bride's native Illinois. More than 250 guests are expected to attend the ceremony, which will have a gothic theme. The bride, 23, was the first winner of reality show AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL while the 48-year-old groom was a child star on THE Brady Bunch in the 1970s. The couple met and fell in love while filming US reality show The Surreal Life and have since enjoyed success with their own TV series, MY FAIR BRADY. They became engaged last November (05). Curry hopes her big day goes without a hitch, despite her dreams of "a little darker" ceremony. She says, "I wanted to go as gothic as I could and as traditional as I could without ruffling anyone's feathers... I wanted to have a black dress..., but I knew it would break my grandmother's heart." Instead Curry will exchange vows in a cream-coloured ALVINA VALENTA gown. Meanwhile, her seven bridesmaids will wear blood-red dresses and the groomsmen will don matching ensembles. The women will carry black roses and the flower girls will wear black dresses with red satin bows. Celebrity guests expected to attend the ceremony include the couple's Surreal Life co-star Joanie Laurer and Knight's former Brady Bunch castmates Barry Williams and Susan Olsen.

Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star Review

Terrible

Another ill-conceived mish-mash of puerile humor and disingenuous sap from Adam Sandler's Happy Madison production company, "Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star" features David Spade as a Hollywood has-been trying to recapture the childhood he never had in an attempt to win a comeback role as a "normal guy."

In what should have been a perfect role for his meager talents and snarky, one-note persona, Spade barely even tries to create a character beyond being crass, uncouth and insecure -- in short, his usual schtick -- and wearing gloves all the time as some short-hand attempt at eccentric paranoid psychoses.

The only effort put toward establishing his credibility as a former child star (beyond flashbacks of a young Dickie repeating the amusingly tasteless catch phrase "This is nucking futs!") is to ply the film with cameos by kiddie actors whose careers have faltered in adulthood. Dickie plays poker with Leif Garrett, Dustin "Screech" Diamond, Corey Feldman, Danny Bonaduce and Barry "Greg Brady" Williams, who places bets using "Brady Bunch" tchotchkes he claims are "worth at least $2 on eBay!"
