Christian rock trio Barlowgirl are calling it quits after nine years in the music industry.
The singing sisters - Alyssa, Lauren and Rebecca Barlow - announced plans for their retirement on Wednesday (24Oct12) and thanked fans for their years of support on "one of the most incredible adventures".
The group, which counts singer/actress Demi Lovato among its fans, has not given a specific reason for the split, but a spokesman tells the Associated Press, "They're ready for a new season."
BarlowGirl landed their first recording contract with Fervent Records in 2003 and have scored hits with tracks like Never Alone, I Need You to Love Me, and Enough.
