The Magnolia movie-maker tells US magazine DETAILS' September (04) issue his decision to be open about his political view has resulted in abuse and vandalism.
De Luca says, "They scream about the environment before they hop onto their private jets and blow 8,000 pounds of fuel getting to the Hamptons (exclusive getaway in New York State).
"Maybe the anger stems from the fact that the left is out of power, or maybe it's because creative people are passionate by nature and prefer emotion to facts."
De Luca recalls horror stories of himself and fellow Tinseltown GEORGE W BUSH supporters being shouted at by environmentalists, having their cars vandalised and being stared at like "you've recently been exposed as a serial killer".
De Luca adds, "The country may be polarised, but Hollywood is in lockstep behind Babs and Whoopi and John Kerry."23/08/2004 10:41
