Entertainer Barbara McNair has lost her battle with throat cancer. She was 72.
MCNair went from performing in nightclubs in the late 1960s to hosting her own TV show in the early 1970s.
She also starred in a number of movies, including Change of Habit opposite Elvis Presley. Her most famous film role came when she played Sidney Poitier's wife in 1970 movie THEY CALL ME MR TIBBS.
As a singer, she recorded a number of US hits, including YOU COULD NEVER LOVE HIM, and a rendition of the Beatles' YESTERDAY.
The pair recently enjoyed their first visit to the interactive experience in New York.
