The reigning US President Barack Obama and his First Lady, Michelle Obama enjoy a moment dancing together, as Jennifer Hudson perform for them at the 2013 Presidential Inauguration.

Michelle looks stunning, in a long red dress with a cutaway V at the back and low neck line. Obama, wearing a dark suit for the occasion, leads his wife as they dance at the Presidential Inaugural Ball, which took place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

Watch the Obamas enjoying Jennifer Hudson's performance

As Hudson finishes her performance Barack Obama turns to face her and claps, as does his wife. The roars from the crowd are as much for Hudson’s powerful performance as they are in celebration of the official start to Obama’s second term in office. Hudson was clearly thrilled to have been a part of the celebration – evident as she waved and skipped off stage before the President and First Lady turned to face the crowd. She had earlier tweeted “I'm so honored and thrilled to be performing at our president's inauguration celebration on Monday.” She also tweeted “Right now the President and First Lady will dance to Al Green’s ‘Let’s Stay Together,’ to be performed by… ME!!! Yes! Amazing night!”

At the official inauguration, Beyonce performed the national anthem and entertainment was also provided by former American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson and the veteran songwriter James Taylor.
