Jackass star Bam Margera openly sobbed on U.S. TV on Tuesday (21Jun11) as he visited the site where his best friend and co-star Ryan Dunn died.
Dunn and his passenger, Zachary Hartwell, were both killed after the daredevil crashed his Porsche in Pennsylvania early on Monday (20Jun11).
Margera was in Arizona when he heard the news, and immediately flew to be with family and friends.
The star, who reveals he experienced a bizarre bout of anger at the time Dunn died, has now visited the site where his pal's car spun out of control and he was unable to control his emotions as he spoke to a reporter from local station Fox 29 News.
He sobbed, "I've never lost anybody that I care about. It's my best friend. I was in Arizona when I heard and I remember I was with some friends having the best time ever and at 12.30 I just started punching out the windows of the van and ripping out the speakers.
"I don't even know why, I wasn't mad at anybody or anything and if it's 12.30 there (in Arizona) then that means it's exactly when he crashed.
"He was the happiest person ever. The smartest guy, he had so much talent and he had so many things going for him. It's just not right.
"I can't (get through this). Do you know how horrible it is being on an airplane for six hours, not being with everybody - just stuck.
"It was the worst phone call I've ever gotten in my life waking up to that."
Police officials in West Goshen Township, Pennsylvania believe Dunn was driving at 130 miles (209 kilometres) per hour in his car at the time of the crash.
