Pop act Backstreet Boys have confirmed a return to music, promising work on a new album will start later this year (06).
The boy band took a five-year hiatus after releasing their GREATEST HITS: CHAPTER 1 disc in 2001 but insist they're heading back to the studio and are determined to top the charts again.
Band member Brian Littrell, who has been performing as a Christian solo singer, says, "I'm a big fan of the Backstreet Boys and our success and the quality of music that we put out and our fan base that's been there for us over the 13 years that we've been together.
"I hope to further that and also have the freedom to do this. God has called me to be here."
