1. Rehabilitation.

2. Something, especially a building, which has undergone rehabilitation.

The popularity of Leeds super-club brand Back To Basics has been a carefully cultured project spanning over 10 years. The news on the street today is the B2B crew have moved venues. Previously @ The Mint club "which we at CM thought was a bit of a small venue for such a banging night" their gorgeous new home is the new Saturday night boogie heaven that is Rehab.

Back To Basics has joined forces with another although much younger/newer Leeds clubbing force Space to bring you a completely new concept. Rehab is the new home of back to basics on a Saturday night and Space's union on Friday night. So Contactmusic went along to the opening night of Rehab. To see what can be expected from B2B your trusted old clubbing buddy.

We'd been looking forward to this most talked about night for days, as I approach Rehab on a night in Leeds that thankfully spared us the rain and could almost be called a warm summers evening. We arrived early because of fore-warning about the amount of clubbers expected and its already looking like a smart decision. Not long after 9pm there are plenty waiting to get in waiting for the doors to open @ 10pm and once we finally get inside we find it's already packed. First Things first we get a drink from the bar and check out our surroundings, Whilst the bar staff are dressed in white coats and Stethoscopes it all adds to the atmosphere of the clubs theme, which I must say is quite impressive.

The dcor of the club is designed more for the grown up style conscious kind of clubbers. Designed supplied by IGLOO with top of the range sound and lighting system in a grade 1 listed building "what more could you ask for"?

The space is a reasonably well lit room with a dance area raised by a couple of steps. Around the edges of the bar and the dance floor' are tables and very swanky seating. On the upper level the theme of the club carries through all the rooms with a big glass wall over looking the dance floor on the floor below. (very nice)

The tunes were received well, and the crowd were going crazy as they recognised and grooved to their favourites tracks from the DJ's playing a set thumping American house beauties with electronic edge on the main dance floor. The atmosphere was incredible, the stunning lighting and sound systems, which had been elaborately honed to perfection by room acoustic experts, put the "feel-good" cherry on top of the Back To Basics clubbing cake.
