Babyshambles singer Pete Doherty has made up with ex-bandmate Carl Barat by asking if he will be his best man when he marries supermodel Kate Moss.
The pair were seen to be getting on with each other at the NME awards last week before Pete and Kate were ejected from The Rock and roll ceremony for being a bit too, err, romantic.
According to Wenn, the Dirty Pretty Things frontman said: "We had a heart-to-heart the other day and at the end of the conversation, Pete asked me if I'd be up for being his best man."
"He told me he and Kate were desperate to marry. I was shocked but delighted. I'm really touched that after all we've been through together we could finally put it all behind us and move on," Carl said.
But it seems unlikely that Pete and Kate will be signing deals with any celebrity gossip magazines. Speaking to the News of the World at the weekend, Pete told the newspaper they wanted to marry abroad: "Somewhere small and out the way would be cool. We can't wait, it'll be beautiful."
Yet a wee legal problem stands in the way of their nuptial plans. "We want to do it away, a special wedding somewhere miles from anywhere and everyone. But the f***ing police have taken away my passport," the 27-year-old musician said.
It must be love.
