A Seattle, Washington man whose wife encouraged him to stalk Canadian pop
star Avril Lavigne has been sentenced to 30 days in jail.
James Speedy, 31, initially pleaded not guilty to charges he was a
stalker, but last week accepted that's exactly what he is and accepted a prison
The computer expert relentlessly pursued the singer and was eventually
arrested and ordered to stay away from the singer and her family, but was
picked up by cops at a Seattle mall, when Lavigne performed there.
