Avril Lavigne has hit out at Mark Zuckerberg for mocking her ex-boyfriend Chad Kroeger.
Avril Lavigne has lashed out at Mark Zuckerberg for ''bullying'' Nickelback.
The 32-year-old singer may have split from the band's frontman Chad Kroeger last year but that hasn't stopped her jumping to his defence when the Facebook founder mocked the group in a video about his home A.I. assistant Jarvis, voiced by Morgan Freeman.
Taking to her Twitter account, she said: ''Dear Mark, Many people use your products - some people love them and some people don't. Either way, you're allowed your musical opinion however, your jab at Nickelback is in poor taste. When you have a voice like yours, you may want to consider being more responsible with promoting bullying, especially given what's going on in the world today. #SayNoToBullying #TheJokeIsOld #NickelbackHasSoldOver50MillionAlbums (sic).''

Nude pictures of Jennifer Lawrence, Elizabeth Winstead and others have leaked onto the internet, but given the sentence of Michael Chaney - the man who hacked Scarlett Johansson - the person behind the latest leak may be on borrowed time.
Hundreds of explicit images of celebrities including nude photos of Jennifer Lawrence leaked onto the internet on Sunday (August 31, 2014) via the 4chan website. Images of more than 100 well-known actors, singer and celebrities were part of the leak, which is rumored to be part of a major hacking of Apple's iCloud service.

As well as the Hunger Games actress - the most high profile - the list also included Kim Kardashian, Rihanna, Kirsten Dunst, Winona Ryder and Aubrey Plaza. 4chan quickly removed the thread but the images have been circulating since.

The Lion King cast surprised passengers with their impromptu song on the subway, we look at other musicians who have given subterranean busking a pop.
Anyone who has ever travelled on the London Underground or the New York subway system knows that the experience is usually a dull and laborious affair. The carriages are sweltering and filled with people trudging to and from work, trying to avoid eye contact with everyone else despite the intense proximity of fellow passengers. All of these facets render the latest internet viral sensation as a harm-warming act to enliven the dreary public transport experience.
Musicians like to show off their talents on the subway, apparently [Getty/Spencer Platt]
Earlier this summer, members of the cast from the Broadway hit Lion King broke into spontaneous song on the New York A-train. The resulting video is currently doing the rounds on social media. The A Cappella version of ‘The Circle Of Life’ leaves many passengers enthralled, clearly delighted to have their journey brightened by the performers impressive talents sing and clap along to the spectacle. Others, however, react with a passive indifference with a few even keeping their headphones in through the song’s entirety. But the Lion King cast’s impromptu performance is far from the first to take place on a subway system. We take a look at some other examples.

The 29 year-old singer is one lucky lady!
Avril Lavigne is a very lucky lady, and Chad Kroeger definitely knows how to keep his wife happy. The married couple celebrated their first wedding anniversary at the start of last month, and to mark the occasion the rock singer bought his love a whopping 17-carat Anniversary ring.
Lavigne and Kroeger have been married for one year
Astonishingly, when Kroeger first popped the question to Lavigne in the spring 2013 he gifted her with a beautiful 14-carat pear-shaped diamond ring, but he must have felt she deserved a more impressive piece of jewellery after surviving their first year of being man and wife.
Avril Lavigne's embarrassingly awkward meet-and-greet photos reveal the problem with the standard industry practice
In a meet-and-greet in Brazil this week, ensuing photos of Avril Lavigne and her fans shows exactly why charging admirers to meet their heroes is often a horrible exercise in outright exploitation. After facing widespread criticism over the offensive nature of her 'Hello Kitty' video, the singer is once again under the media spotlight for all the wrong reasons. For celebrities such as Lavigne, the meet-and-greet manifests as a practice which often takes advantage of their follower’s unwavering loyalty.
Avril Lavigne Charged Fans $360 For A Brief Meeting
Fans were asked to part with a reported $360 for the honour of a brief exchange with Lavigne. They left with a single memento in the form of an excruciatingly awkward photo where the Canadian pop-star did her very best to maintain the faintest semblance of a pained smile on-top of an otherwise empty expression. Of particular note is the cavernous expanse between Lavigne and each of her fans, it was as if they had been told in no uncertain terms that physical contact with the singer would result in their imminent demise.

There are many problems with Avril Lavigne's new song "Hello Kitty", but a racist music video isn't one of them.
There’s been a lot of criticism of Avril Lavinge’s latest music video for her single “Hello Kitty.” The video sees Lavigne prancing around in a tutu skirt with a gang of Asian girls dancing behind her. The 29 year old rocker has been accused of “fetishizing” Asian women, as well as making a “caricature” out of them. The Huffington Post went so far as to practically order Avril to stop using Asian women as “props”.
Lavigne's husband Chad Kroeger penned her new track
Now, we’re going to have to disagree on this one. It’s a bit of an overreaction when you consider Gwen Stefani’s regular use of the Harajuku girls and even more so when you take into account Avril’s defence. If you could call it that, it’s essentially a tweet which reads, “RACIST??? LOLOLOL!!! I love Japanese culture."
Avril Lavigne went way down in our estimations this week whilst Marc Anthony made knees weak at the Billboard Latin Awards and Peaches Geldof was laid to rest.
People's "Most Beautiful": Lupita Nyong'o is beautiful? Tell us something we didn't know! The 12 Years a Slave star was honoured this week for her natural beauty and bang-on style with People magazine's "Most Beautiful" prize. Sure, the award isn't as special as say, her Academy Award but goes to show that 2014 is the year of the Lupita for sure with filmmakers, fashion houses and fans falling at her feet. Need inspiration? We've compiled a list of her top red carpet looks here. And what was that about a role in the new Jungle Book movie?
'The Hobbit' Name Change: It's a bold thing for a director to change the name of a movie but the third and final 'Hobbit' movie has received a make-over from 'There And Back Again' to 'The Battle of the Five Armies.' Find out Jackson's reasoning for the swap here. The grandiose new title brings visions of the predictably epic battle between the goblins and dwarves, elves, men, and the majestic giant eagles at the foot of the Lonely Mountain. Expect awesomeness: here are our three predictions for the new movie.
What do you think of Avril Lavigne's 'Hello Kitty', racist or just plain terrible?
It’s difficult to know what you should have expected from a song called ‘Hello Kitty’ and its video, but whatever it was it clearly wasn't what Avril Lavigne served up on Tuesday. Some have called it the worst music video ever, others have taken more serious offence and labeled it racist. As for Avril she’s said, "RACIST??? LOLOLOL!!!" Yep we’re all lol-ing with you Avril…or are we?
Skrillex is everywhere these days
Avril Lavigne has gone through quite a few image changes in her career since her ‘Skater Boi’ days. Actually, although some may not want to admit it, there was a period (her second album, Under My Skin), when Avril was verging on being credible as an artist. Then she released ‘Girlfriend’ in 2007 and seemed to fall right back down the annoying pop rabbit hole. Since then, rather than trying to claw her way out, if ‘Hello Kitty’ is anything to go by, she’s pretty much set up home there. Last year Lavigne married Nickleback singer Chad Kroeger, who let’s just say, isn’t the most loved musician ever to sing for Spider-Man. Kroeger is actually listed as a writer on ‘Hello Kitty’, but we can't be sure how much of the blame for it can rightfully be attributed to him.

Is Avril Lavigne's video for 'Hello Kitty' really racist?
Avril Lavigne has fought back against the critics who have labelled her music video for Hello Kitty racist. The colourful video features the 29-year-old singer wearing a cupcake tutu and dancing around Tokyo, flanked by a quartet of Asian women dressed in matching outfits.
Avril Lavigne's 'Hello Kitty' Has Caused A Stir
Others scenes include Lavigne playing air guitar and drinking sake. There's also a sushi chef, and some glaring Fujifilm Instax product placement.
Not to mention those accusations of racism...
Avril Lavigne has dropped the music video for her sugary new single, 'Hello Kitty' from new album, Avril Lavigne. The rock and dubstep fusion track will be a surprise to say the least for fans of the pop punk of her early 'Sk8er Boi' days as the 29 year-old singer-songwriter boldly marches in a new direction in her sound.
Avril Lavigne Couldn't Have Predicted The Internet Storm That Would Greet Her New Video.
The girlish and garish 'Hello Kitty' will make fans recall the singer's similar U-turn on 'Girlfriend' but instead of cheerleader stomp rap and girl-on-girl cat-fighting, the new track is altogether another feline, full of dubstep drops, vocal effects and electro buzzes. Dressed in a plastic homage to Japanese teen culture, Avril debuts a new pastel-coloured, half shaved Skrillex-style hairdo which somehow manages to make the cheesy vid all the more terrible.

'The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones' actress has topped a poll of celebrities whose search engine results usually lead to websites containing malware, spyware, viruses and more
Lily Collins is a young, beautiful and talented actress who is gradually making her way to the top of the Hollywood hierarchy through her natural good looks and admirable acting talent. She also happens to be the biggest threat to the safety of your PC or laptop as the actress has been singled out as the 'most dangerous' celebrity name on the web.
Lily Collins, beautiful and dangerous
According to a report from anti-virus software McAfee, Collins poses the biggest threat of any celebrity on the internet in infecting your computer with a virus or malware. The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones star offers the biggest array of 'risky clicks' online, and if you were to add the terms 'nude images' or 'free apps' then the chances of accidentally stumbling on to a site chocked full of malicious threats is increased even further.

How on earth has the young actress earned such a risky accolade?
Lily Collins has been names the "most dangerous celebrity" of the year by security company McAfee after it was discovered that typing in the 24 year-old Mortal Instruments actress' name yielded more "risky" results, i.e. malicious websites, than any other.
She May Look Harmless But...
Though it may not be an accolade to be proud of, Lily being identified as the most virus-laden online name of the year serves as a warning for those who seek information on their favorite stars, films, or TV shows: cybercriminals are adept at taking advantage of the latest cultural trends to net unsuspecting web surfers.

Former childstar turned New York Times Bestselling author turned video vixen. Sounds about right.
Remember Danica McKellar? Tall, brunette, used to be on the Wonder Years? Well, you should remember her now, because the former childstar went and landed herself a part in Avril Lavigne’s brand new music video for Rock’n’Roll. The video, which will come out sometime next month, features Danica and Avril, both sporting minimal outfits and heavy makeup, according to the pictures shared by Us Magazine.
McKellar was sporting a slightly less wholesome look during the shoot.
Danica is all dressed up, a la Road Warrior in a teeny tiny brown top and denim vest, as well as an even tinier black skirt. The outfit matches that of Avril herself, who shared some pictures from the shoot on her Twitter. The concept of the video is still unclear, but by the looks of it, it’ll have something to do with rebellion – much like everything else Avril has ever done.
Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars and Katy Perry are among the names confirmed for the iHeartRadio Music Festival at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas in September. The two-day festival, set to be held on September 20 and 21, will also feature performances from Elton John, Keith Urban and a special pairing of Queen (with Brian May) and the former American Idol star Adam Lambert.
The main festival line-up was announced on Monday morning (July 15, 2013) in a press conference hosted by Ryan Seacrest. A final schedule will be announced closer to the festival, though Timberlake, Perry, Elton and Bruno Mars are likely to be the marquee names. The likes of Muse, Tiesto, Chris Brown, Fun, Phoenix, Maroon 5, Tim Mcgraw, Ke&ha, Thirty Seconds to Mars and Benny Benassi are other high profile names to have been confirmed.
Last year's festivals played host to No Doubt, Pink, Usher and Swedish House Mafia though it will be remembered for Billie Joe Armstrong's meltdown during Green Day's set. After smashing the band's instruments in protest of his set being cut short, Armstrong left the stage and was admitted to rehab the next day, cancelling his band's tour dates and promotional appearances.
'My Happy Ending': Canadian rock artists Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger are set to wed today (1st July) in a decadent southern France ceremony.
'Girlfriend' singer Avril Lavigne and Nickelback's Chad Kroeger are to be married in the idyllic south of France and have already begun to celebrate this weekend with a Cannes wedding party on Saturday. Initial reports stated the wedding had taken place on Saturday due to a tweet from Mike Heller, CEO of the talent company that reps the 28 year-old star: "I'm in south of France about to see my little Rok star #avril get married I am so happy to be part of this special celebration." This was taken to mean that the knot had already been tied but a source even closer to the couple refutes the rumours, saying they're "not technically married yet" and that Heller's tweets were in anticipation of Monday's ceremony.
Chad & Avril Have Been Dating Since Last August.
This will be Lavigne's second marriage after her three year marriage to Sum 41 lead singer, Deryck Whibley. She met Kroeger, 38, whilst recording her new fifth album and the pair began dating with him proposing just a month afterwards in August last year. 'Sk8er Boi' Avril revealed her connection with the 'Rockstar' singer: "I feel most beautiful when I'm around Chad.I'm not one who really dresses up that much. I'm usually in the studio in regular, comfy clothes. I wear some pretty out-there designs. He likes my style - he thinks I'm cute."

Taylor Swift, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez and Nicki Minaj among star arrivals at the 2013 Billboard Awards at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
The 2013 Billboard Music Awards looked to be one of the most celeb-filled events of the year with some of the music industry's biggest stars making their glamorous arrivals.
'22' singer Taylor Swift clutched eight accolades to her chest as she posed on the red carpet having won Top Billboard 200 Album and Top Country Album for 'Red', Top Country Song with 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together', Top Artist, Top Female Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Digital Songs Artist and Top Country Artist. Carly Rae Jepsen was another young female star to land a prize winning Top Digital Song and Top Pop Song for her massive 2012 hit 'Call Me Maybe'. Queen of Pop Madonna scooped up three well deserved awards including Top Dance Album for 'MDNA', Top Dance Artist and Top Touring Artist after her controversial 'MDNA' tour which landed her amidst a handful of lawsuits. There was no sign of letting up on the controversial front either as she donned hotpants, suspenders and fishnets at the Billboard event. Top Streaming Artist, Top Rap Artist and Top Rap Album with 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded' went to Nicki Minaj while Top EDM Artist was none other than David Guetta who brought his wife Cathy Guetta along with him to the awards show.
Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler will attend a hearing in Hawaii on Friday (February 8, 2013) for discussions on a bill that would limit people's freedom to take photographs and videos of celebrities. Hawaii's Senate Judiciary Committee plans to consider the so called 'Steven Tyler Act' this morning - the first time in which lawmakers will discuss the bill publically.
A publicist for the former American Idol judge - one of the most recognizable men on the planet - told the Associated Press that Tyler has submitted written testimony supporting the proposal, which would allow celebrities to collect damages from someone who takes photographs in an offensive way. Tyler certainly has some big hitters on-side, including Britney Spears, Avril Lavigne, Neil Diamond, Tommy Lee and the Osbourne family. "Providing a remedy to the often-egregious acts of the paparazzi is a very notable incentive to purchase property or vacation on the islands," the stars say, "Not only would this help the local economy, but it would also help ensure the safety of the general public, which can be threatened by crowds of cameramen or dangerous high-speed car chases." The proposal is perhaps all the more relevant following the recent death of a photographer in Los Angeles who was attempting to snap pictures of Justin Bieber.
Hawaii Governor Neil Abercrombie says he supports the intent of the bill, though warns it may needed refining. Opponents simply say the bill could be unconstitutional.

Chad Kroeger is not a happy man. No, the Nickelback star, 37, took to Twitter to hit back at his fiancee Avril's Lavigne's ex-boyfriend Deryck Whibley after the Sum 41 man had weirdly dressed as his former love for a Halloween party, with current girlfriend Ari Cooper attending as Kroeger.
Still with us? Well, clearly unamused by the stunt, Kroeger took to Twitter to hit back, saying, "Hey Deryck loved the costumes! We were going to dress up as you guys this year but all the parties had celebrity themes haha!" Ouch. But a fair point. But then he's in Nickelback. Whibley, 32, and Lavigne, 28, split in 2009 after three years of marriage, with the latter going on to date Brody Jenner of 'The Hills' fame. Seemingly out of nowhere, the singer announced she was engaged to marry Kroeger in August though maintained she was still good friends with Whibley. She told Ryan Seacrest, "He's one of my best friends, and we work really well together and we stay in touch. I think we're very lucky. We've been friends for a really long time and we always will be family. We have a connection. Things are good. I'm really grateful for that."
Lavigne released her fourth studio album Goodbye Lullaby in March 2011.
Halloween is prime time to dress up to revere your idols, scare your friends or ridicule those that you may feel deserve it. Occasionally however some people can get offended, which is exactly what happened with Prince Harry dressed up as a Nazi a few years back, and more recently when Sum 41 front man Deryck Whibley and a friend dressed up as his ex-wife Avril Lavigne and her new fiancee Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger, reports the NME.
Kroeger retorted to the offence with a tweet via his bands Twitter page, saying: "Hey Deryck loved the costumes! we were going to dress up as you guys this year but all the parties had celebrity themes haha! -CK"

Since breaking through with 2002's 'Let Go', Avril Lavigne has sold a reported 30 million albums as guitar music's answer to Britney Spears. Her last album, 'The Best Damn Thing', was released four years ago and she has amongst other things in the interim period launched a clothing line and perfumes, but now she returns to the medium of her original success.
