The Italian producer and DJ believes Madonna can win back critical and popular praise if she releases 'the right album'.
2014 may have ended on a frustrating note for Madonna with the leak of unfinished tracks from her new album, but Giorgio Moroder is predicting a “big” year for the star.
In an interview with Bang Showbiz, the influential producer and DJ believes that as long Madonna releases the right sort of album she will become “big again”. He said that he was keen to hear the new LP, entitled Rebel Heart and due for release in February 2015, and that it was good news that she was working with producer Avicii, currently one of the hottest names in pop.

The Swedish DJ is suffering from health issues caused by surgeries he underwent earlier this year.
Avicii wasn't in a celebratory mood on his 25th birthday because he had to deliver some very bad news to his fans, on Monday (Sept 8th) the Swedish DJ cancelled all his forthcoming performances due to new health concerns.
Avicii has forced to cancel all shows due to ongoing health issues
Reps for Avicii, real name Tim Bergling, confirmed to Billboard that the award-winning DJ has been forced to stop "all touring and promotional activities" as health issues stemming from earlier surgeries keep hindering him.
Over 30 people were left injured by the surging crowd.
Avicii’s show in Boston on Wednesday night left 36 attendees in hospital and even more injured and suffering from dehydration, alcohol and drug overdoses. The Boston Public Health Commission declared a Level 2 Casualty. According to a spokesperson for the commission, this does not refer to the actual number of victims, but is merely an indicator to notify hospitals of a large number of incoming patients.
Avicii's shows are notorious for substance abuse and out-of-control audiences.
According to the Boston Globe, EMS workers began setting up staging areas around the TD Garden venue about half an hour before the show was due to end at 11pm.Tim Caputo, a reporter for Boston station WHDH, tweeted that "at least 15 ambulances [were] lined up in staging areas outside TD Garden."

There's been ups and downs, but Ultra Music Festival turned out another year of unforgettable musical energy.
Ultra Music Festival turned out to be a bit of a rollercoaster of a weekend for everyone this year but, as usual, it's been three days of some of the most explosive electronic acts of our generation.
It was a terribly disappointing moment for festival goers (and, indeed, viewers; those who were viewing it live online) when it was announced that Saturday's main stage headliner Avicii would not make it to Miami for his set after being hospitalised earlier in the week for an emergency operation. However, that initial fan frustration was greatly eased by the arrival of Deadmau5, who took the Swedish DJ's place to much delightful surprise. Further entertainment came with some eagerly anticipated headline sets from Tiesto and Hardwell on the Friday and Sunday respectively.

A high profile act bites the dust
Internationally renown DJ, Avicii, was forced out of his highly anticipated Saturday night slot at Ultra Music Festival after being hospitalized in Miami on Thursday afternoon due severe abdominal pain, nausea and fever from a blocked gall bladder.
Avicci – real name Tim Bergling – has emerged as a burgeoning force for dance music, and his withdrawal wasn't only a disappointment for excited fans, but also the people behind Ultra Music Festical, who were presumably deeply fustraed at losing their marquee star so close to his cancelled headline spot.

Two people linked to the Miami music festival, Ultra, have been hospitalised. Swedish DJ Avicii AKA Tim Bergling pulled out of the festival due to a ruptured appendix and gallbladder. Whilst Bergling is on the road to recovery, a security guard is in a "critical condition" in hospital after apparently being trampled by members of the public attempting to gain access to the festival without a ticket.
Ultra, the Miami music festival, has been the focus of reports following one performer's admittance into hospital. Unfortunately Avicii, the Swedish DJ in question, is not the only person associated with the festival to have been hospitalised.
Avicii was hospitalised in Miami on Friday (28th March) after experiencing stomach pain.
Sadly a private security guard is in a "critical condition" following an incident at one of the gates in which members of the public without a ticket attempted to gain access to the festival arena. 28-year-old Erika Mack was admitted to hospital with severe brain haemorrhaging after being trampled by a crowd clamouring for admittance to the event on Friday (28th March). Reports in the Miami Herald suggest Mack was last seen with, what appeared to be a broken leg, and blood coming out of her ears. Following the incident, which occurred at approximately 8pm yesterday evening, Mack was rushed to Jackson Memorial hospital.

Swedish producer and DJ Avicii is trying something different at next weekend's Ultra Music Festival - which promises to turn Miami into a three day rave in the sunshine. Avicii, whose song 'Wake Me Up' is Spotify's most played track ever, is setting up a concept store pop-up at the festival and will sell a variety of branded items including t-shirts, flip-flops, hats and condoms.
Avicii's manager Ash Pournouri spoke to Billboard about the one-week only pop-up, which will be located on South Beach's Lincoln Rd, titled, quite simply, Avicii Store.

Ke$ha and Pitbull's new party track proves enough of a hit to dethrone Pharrell.
Pitbull and Ke$ha have finally outperformed their rivals to claim the UK's first official number one song of 2014. Their new party track 'Timber' has danced to the top of the charts, ahead of previous top dog Pharrell Williams and his 'Happy' as well as Avicii's 'Hey Brother.'
Ke$ha Celebrates Another Chart-Topping Party Stomper.
Inspired by Avicii's 'Wake Me Up,' 'Timber' blends a dancefloor beat with country influences and is both Pitbull and Ke$ha's third number one single in the UK after having each separately conquered the charts twice before. Though the first week of the year is traditionally quiet one for music sales, purchases of 'Timber' have numbered an impressive 139,000 copies this week, according to the Official Charts Company.

Bailey's debut single 'Skyscraper' is the Christmas No. 1 for 2013
X Factor winner Sam Bailey is officially the No. 1 artists this Christmas, as the winner of the singing contest has shot to the top of the UK Singles Chart with her debut single, 'Skyscraper.' The single had been holding strong at the top of the chart for most of the week since it was released after her win on Sunday, 15 December, and it has managed to hold on to claim the No. 1 spot officially.
Looks like Sam is happy with the single
As well as being this year's Christmas No. 1, Bailey is also one of the fast-selling artists of the year, as 'Skyscrapers' has sold more than 149,000 so far. She also managed to out-sell her nearest competitor, Pharrell William's 'Happy,' by almost two to one. Not a bad feat for a 36-year-old mum of two making her chart debut.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Avicii also made the list of the most tagged songs.

On Sunday, 3 November, the internet's brightest viral music videos will be celebrated for the first time
The YouTube Music Awards will celebrate the achievements made online by both well-known and some more obscure (outside the world of viral videos) musicians for the first time this Sunday (3 Oct.) and the organisers have pulled out all the stops to make sure that the awards show starts with a bang. In fact, the awards show will be so extravagant that the man in charge of bringing it to life - Spike Jonze - doesn't even know what to expect.
Spike Jonze (L) and Jason Schwartzman (R) are in control of the night in their respective roles
Jonze, the director of countless award-winning music videos such as Weezer's 'Buddy Holly' and 'Sabotage' by The Beastie Boys, has been brought in as creative director of the event, tasked with making the awards show one to remember and one to challenge the established musical showcases, such as the MTV VMAs. Alongside fellow music video veteran Chris Milk and executive producers Vice Media and Sunset Lane Entertainment, Jonze isn't planning on making a showcase that can be easily compared to the VMAs or the Billboard Awards, for example, as they are going for a completely unique take on the tried and tested music awards ceremony.
You can now watch the highlights of Belgium's TomorrowLand 2013 festival ahead of the US repeat this September.
Tomorrowland 2013 has re-lived its most memorable moments with a brand new 30 minute official after movie featuring clips of the best shows, sights and most ecstatic event-goers.
It really was a weekend to remember for this Belgian dance festival with some fantastic DJ sets being merely a bonus to an already incredible spectacle. Not only does it take place amidst an idyllic landscape in the town of Boom, but the sheer artistry and determination that went into building the terrific floating stages and flower decked arena was a vision to behold. The main stage in particular was a massive structure with several jaw-dropping features including amazing pyrotechnics, an erupting volcano and waterfalls which almost drew eyes away from the main acts; among which were Dutch DJ Tiesto, Swedish house producer Sebastian Ingrosso, the Grammy nominated Avicii and Sunday's main attraction David Guetta.

The events will lead to an investigation
Partygoers were sent home a day early as Sunday’s finale of the Electric Zoo music festival - held on Randalls Island – was cancelled. Jeffrey Russ, 23 - a graduate of Syracuse University, and Olivia Rotondo, a 20, - a student at the University of New Hampshire – both died of fatal drug overdoses.
“The Electric Zoo organizers have worked with city officials to reduce health risks at this event, but in view of these occurrences, the safest course is to cancel the remaining day of the event,” the NYPD and Bloomberg said in a joint statement.
“Now there will be no grandchildren, no nieces, no nephews, no wedding,” Russ’ father, John Russ, told the Daily News. “Everything you look forward to in life is gone because of one pill.”
