By now everyone knows about Ashton Kutcher’s newest acting effort in the Steve Jobs biopic jOBS, but as far as he is concerned, not everyone know how big this job is to him.

The film premiered at the final night of the Sundance Film Festival and Kutcher wanted to make sure that everyone knew exactly what this film meant to him: "This was honestly one of the most terrifying things I've ever tried to do in my life. I admired this man so much,” Kutcher told the audience at the event. “I've thrown myself into this massive gauntlet of criticism. I've never seen Abraham Lincoln walk into a room, but I've seen Steve Jobs walk into a room,” he said.

And it is certainly true, considering how much of a public figure the late Steve Jobs was and, of course, taking into account Kutcher’s career so far. The title role in jOBS is certainly a far cry from a hosting gig at Punk’d or even Kutcher’s current long-term engagement with Two and a Half Men. Apparently the heartfelt introduction wasn’t necessary though, as the audience took well to the film. There is still no telling whether this will be a hit or miss with the critics, but if the Sundance audience is anything to go by, jOBS is set to become one of the big earners of 2013. And it wouldn’t be an unexpected success – the genre has already been broken in with films such as The Social Network, and there's another Jobs biopic in the pipeline being helmed by Aaron Sorkin. Unlikely, antisocial techhead gets rejected, then goes on to tread his own path and prove that he can succeed beyond everyone’s expectations… ring a bell? If you’re into underdog movies with a twist, you may want to get your ticket for this one.
