According to IMDb, Jobs tells "the story of Steve Jobs' ascension from college dropout into one of the most revered creative entrepreneurs of the 20th century."
Jobs, sadly, will not get to see himself portrayed on the big screen as he tragically died in 2011 of pancreatic cancer. However, Kutcher has taken inspiration from meetings with Jobs. On the late Apple founder he said ""Steve Jobs was a brutally honest guy. He just wanted you to be better at whatever it was. I'd try to explain to him the things that I'm trying to achieve and get his honest feedback. And I think he, unlike most people, wouldn't be afraid to tell me."
Josh Gad plays Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak. He, according to reports in USA Today, genuinely is in awe of Jobs and his home is filled with Apple products. He said his first major Apple purchase was after he filmed an episode of ER: "I got a MacBook Pro. I thought I was going to be rich. I wasn't."
Alongside Kutcher and Gad, Jobs stars Dermot Mulroney (New Girl), Lukas Haas (Touch) and Matthew Modine (The Dark Knight Rises).
Jobs is released in US cinemas on August 16th.
