Ashlee Simpson, the 26-year-old American singer, says her big sister Jessica Simpson would make a "wonderful mother". Jessica announced her engagement to NFL player Eric Johnson last month, and Ashlee recently visited the couple at their new home.
The 26-year-old, who's married to the Fall Out Boy guitarist Pete Wentz, says her sister is in high spirits after becoming engaged, telling People Magazine, "She is genuinely very, very happy", before adding, "And you go to their house and it's warm and cosy, and it's a good feeling. He's just a good guy". Ashlee gave birth to her first child, BRONX MOWGLI WENTZ, back in in November 2008, and the singer says Jessica is a "wonderful godmother and aunt", adding, "I know she would be a wonderful mother". When asked whether she'd like to see Jessica and Eric try for a baby, she said, "Do I want them to have kids? Of course it would be wonderful if it happened".
Ashlee recently performed in the Broadway production of 'Chicago', playing eight shows a week for six weeks. After the musical finished its run, she announced plans to begin work on her fourth studio album which she describes as having a "folk feel".
